3 hour hand stitch workshop with Lisa Vaughan

This contemporary stitch workshop introduces you to a relaxed and playful exploration of hand embroidery. You will master five stitch techniques which you can use to decorate a beautiful napkin.
During this class Lisa will introduce you to some samples of her work and show you examples of embroidery for inspiration. Working on beautiful linens and cottons we will practise cross stitch, stem stitch, satin stitch, couching and fly stitch as well as experimenting with a simple running stitch.
Stitching slowly and mindfully, playing with the threads and forming your own colour palette enables you to experiment and develop your own style. With guidance from Lisa you will embroider a napkin with your own design.
This class is suitable for beginners.
