Cosy Yarn Wrapping at the Bird in Hand, Princes Risborough. 1st December 7.30-8.30pm

Join us for a creative and social evening of making in the cosy surroundings of The Bird in Hand. Take a little time out and unwind with this relaxed one-hour workshop, where you’ll learn the simple, soothing art of yarn wrapping to create your own abstract artwork on a beautifully upcycled wooden base.

Choose from a gorgeous selection of soft Shetland wool yarns, rich colours and tactile textures to mix, match, and play with. This is all about enjoying the process, experimenting freely, and letting your creativity flow.

During this workshop you’ll learn:

• Basic colour theory to help guide your yarn choices

• How to create your warp by wrapping around the wooden block

• How to use a needle to weave your weft yarns through the warp to form abstract geometric designs

By the end of the session, you’ll have a cosy, hand-wrapped artwork — perfect to brighten your home or to gift to someone special.
