Threads of Connection

A Community Texile project.

Threads of connection is a pilot community arts project led by two experienced textile artists Karina Thomas and Lisa Vaughan from Black Swans Studio at Culverton farm, Princes Risborough. The project will offer a workshop at Princes Risborough library, integrating walking, nature, weaving, stitching and binding.

Designed to explore nature, creativity and wellbeing through textile arts, participants will begin the session with a guided walk, engaging with the natural environment before translating their experiences into creative textile work.

The workshop will be designed to accommodate a range of abilities, ensuring inclusivity for people with different levels of experience in art and textiles.

The inclusion of nature walks as a starting point for artistic exploration will encourage participants to draw inspiration from their surroundings whilst also finding a sense of wellbeing in the natural environment.

This is designed to be a fun workshop where participants can explore their creativity at their own pace. and use a wide range of self-selected, natural, and recycled materials.

A small fee applies to attend this workshop, all materials are provided. Please wear comfortable clothes suitable for walking.
